The “vacation season” is coming to an end, but the coming seasons will offer us beautiful days to enjoy nature.
U WAGEN took advantage of the summer to hire an industrial designer intern to advance some projects that were on the drawing board, no pun intended. He will now have the opportunity to work with us part-time and complete his internship with us.
As some of you know, hiring an intern comes with its share of challenges due to the short duration of a summer internship and the level of experience generally associated with interns.
But this hiring also speaks to our values.
On the one hand, we support industrial design, which is little known and yet perfectly suited to this type of mandate. Halfway between engineering and art, industrial design will sometimes be conceptual, sometimes technical, through the ability to create preliminary presentation documents, visuals for our clients or assembly drawings for the workshop. A discipline that is very versatile and adds a lot of value, particularly in an SMB.
Then, encouraging students in their studies and giving them the power to succeed while learning on the job is, in our opinion, one of the best ways to train the skilled workforce of tomorrow. And even better, to give them more confidence to continue their studies by facilitating their learning.
Finally, we invest in research and development to innovate and create top-quality products. Of course, a well-thought-out design and innovation process takes longer, but the time invested upfront will be beneficial in the long term. For the customer too, it ensures that they benefit from a better-quality product that will last over time.
By investing in the hiring of interns, U WAGEN helps to promote industrial design, innovation and our next generation.
Have a great end to the “vacation season”!
